Longtime Topanga resident and artist, Anahita King aka the Good Witch of Whimsy, who now resides and has a studio in Joshua Tree, is excited to be back in the Canyon to showcase her work at an Art Sale and Open House on Sunday, December 8. 

In the high desert, Anahita King has become well known for her whimsical line of ceramics and large, panoramic watercolors, garnering awards at several juried art shows. Her most recent award in November was from the Palm Springs Art Museum Arts Council Juried Show for a watercolor of downtown Joshua Tree depicting a 1959 Buick towing a vintage Airstream trailer. 

King has a booth at the Joshua Tree Farmer’s Market every Saturday. Catering to both tourists and locals, she has a wide range of wares to fit every budget, from $3 magnets, $6 watercolor greeting cards, $10 cell phone docks, $25 mugs and covered bowls, $135 wall shrines, to her whimsical, waltzing teapots ranging from $180 to $400.
